Would you like to see the Holy Land?

If there is enough interest, a possible trip and tour to visit some of the holy sites in Israel could be planned—Do you think you would like to go? The flight, bus trips, and hotel stays would run in the range of $2500 per person for a 10 day tour of Israel. The tentative date is May or June of 2008 and as a taste of this trip the schedule is anticipated for this and more: Day 1—flight to Israel (about 12 hours) Day 2—visit sites in Northern Israel—Mt. Carmel, Megiddo, and Nazareth Village Day 3—Sea of Galilee, Mt. Of Beatitudes, and Baptism at Yardenit Day 4—Capernaum, Golan Heights, Caesarea Philippi Day 5—moving south to Beit She’an Day 6—Dead Sea, Qumran and Massada Day 7—to Jerusalem—Mt. Of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Western Wall and Hezekiah’s Tunnel Day 8—Second Temple Model, Holocaust Memorial Yad Vashem and the giant menorah across from the Knesset Day 9—Church of St. Peter, Temple Institute, Western Wall Tunnel, Pool of Bethesda, ending the tour at the Garden Tomb Day 10—return flight o Atlanta (about 13 hours) This tour would require 10 to 20 people and your response is solicited to determine if there is enough interest to pursue more detailed plans. If you might be interested in this tour, please contact Jim Welch at jim.welch@ilsonline.com.

Care and Share Ministry

Donations to our Care and Share Ministry are still needed and would be very much appreciated so that we can continue to serve those in need throughout our community. Monetary contributions can be designated on the white giving envelopes and food items can be placed in the bins located throughout the church.
